Portfolio Probe
Requirements
The Portfolio Probe package requires either R or S-PLUS.
You can download R for free via
The R Project website.
There are commercial versions of R as well, see
Suppported versions of R.
You can purchase S-PLUS from TIBCO
http://spotfire.tibco.com
(Actually, you can do without R or S-PLUS by embedding the optimization in a C
or C++ function that you write, but that is really, really not recommended.)
Platforms
Currently the only available platform is 32-bit Windows.
Other platforms will eventually be added.

Prices
The prices quoted below are the special introductory prices.
These will stay in effect through the first quarter of 2010,
after which the price will be some multiple of the quoted prices.
In order to be eligible for the lower price, you either need to request
an invoice by 2010 March 31, or request an invoice within the 30-day
demo period of a demo that started by 2010 March 31.
Price per copy is:
5000 GBP + VAT
8000 EUR + VAT if applicable
8000 USD
This is a one-time license fee.
There are no annual fees.
There is a 70% academic discount.
The discount applies if the license is to be used only for
teaching and research.
Use on real portfolios is not allowed for copies with an academic discount.
A 10% discount applies to multiple copies in a single order.
A 30-day demonstration period is available.
